Glenside is a specialist provider for the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of people with long-term neurological conditions, offering a complete range of inpatient care and rehabilitation services in Salisbury and Farnborough.
People who have a long-term neurological condition will have either experienced brain injury caused by a traumatic incident such as a road accident or fall; or, due to the effects of a neurological disorder, such as stroke, dementia or other progressive condition.
Brain damage can affect a person in many different ways, reflecting the varied areas of the brain damaged by the impact or disorder, but typically grouped into three main areas: physical; behavioural and cognitive functioning.
Glenside’s specialist rehabilitation services help patients to regain some or all of the functions that have been affected by the damage to their brain. Glenside provides two main pathways for Neuro- Rehabilitation and Neuro- Behavioural services. Within each pathway, the experienced team of Consultants, therapists and nursing staff all work together to deliver a patient- centred treatment plan, based on a care plan with which will have been discussed and agreed with the service user and their family members, in line with funding requirements.
