Priory Brain Injury Services is a new and exciting division of Priory Healthcare.
It has been formed following the merger of Priory with Partnerships in Care, together with a number of Craegmoor sites moving into Priory Healthcare from Priory Adult Care (a separate division in Priory). Priory can now boast an extensive Brain Injury Service, with more than 300 beds across 13 sites throughout the UK.

Brain injury is well documented as being an enormous problem around the world. In the UK alone, there are more than one million people currently living with the effects of long-term brain injury.  Priory Brain Injury Services has been established to be well placed to provide services that enable people with an acquired brain injury (ABI) to maximise their independence at any stage of their post-acute recovery journey.

The service encompasses neurophysical care and rehabilitation, as well as neurobehavioural rehabilitation, and is provided within environments ranging from hospital settings to residential homes. The breadth of the service allows a seamless care pathway ensuring that all services have a consistency in their approach and follow national guidance. Priory’s Brain Injury Services is focused on using data to inform best practice, individualise care plans and measure patient outcomes.

All of the services integrate and have strong ties with their local community. Rehabilitating and caring for people with an acquired brain injury is important to our communities and society more broadly, with implications ethically, socially and economically.
