INPA are delighted to announce that Aimee Pink has joined us as Research Officer.
Aimee Pink (BSc (Hons), MSc) is a PhD candidate in the Department of Psychology at Swansea University. She completed her Psychology undergraduate degree at the University of Southampton before moving to Swansea to complete an MSc in Abnormal and Clinical Psychology. Her current research investigates the mechanisms underpinning emotional eating and previously she has explored the associations between personality traits and hoarding behaviours in individuals following traumatic brain injury. Aimee has experience working clinically within the NHS and private healthcare settings as an assistant psychologist in a wide range of areas, including brain injury and dementia. She has a passion for ensuring her research is accessible to the wider audience and has participated in ‘The 3 Minute Thesis’, British Science Festival and Swansea University’s Research as Art competition. She is also part of the Brilliant Club, working with schools across South Wales to help reduce the barriers to university through designing projects based on her PhD to inspire and engage pupils.
“I am looking forward to working with INPA. The projects sound really exciting and I cannot wait to get started.”
