Specialist healthcare provider PJ Care is launching a recruitment drive with the help of one of the biggest pop hits of the past 12 months.
PJ Care, the UK’s leading independent provider of neurological care and rehabilitation, is attracting new nursing and caring talent by releasing a video of staff singing and dancing to the Pharrell Williams number one ‘Happy’.
A film crew spent a day visiting PJ Care’s centres in Milton Keynes and Peterborough, as well as its head office in Bletchley, where staff boogied and grooved to the million-selling tune.
The video was originally made for an online care sector competition, but it has been re-edited to feature nurses, carers, cooks, cleaners, laundry staff and members of the head office team enjoying a day at PJ Care.
HR director Angela Johnson says PJ Care is looking to recruit a number of staff – many of them registered nurses – to work at its flagship Eagle Wood Neurological Care Centre in Peterborough, as well as at its three units in Milton Keynes.
We’re a vibrant, growing company, and we’re proud of our staff development initiatives – and that means vacancies have been created in a range of areas.
With the video we wanted to show the kind of people we have working for us at PJ Care. They are all dedicated, hard-working and committed, but they also really enjoy what they do.
That’s the kind of person we like to employ.
Looking after people with serious conditions can be a real challenge, and very demanding – but it’s also rewarding and satisfying.
PJ Care’s centres provide treatment, rehabilitation and care for people with a range of conditions including young onset dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, motor neurone disease and acquired brain injuries.
